For the purposes of this agreement the following notes and definitions
apply;
The
company:
Copyright-on-line.com is a website and service operated by the legal
entity U4Global Solutions Limited, a global trading company in the
semiconductor and microelectronics sector, Enterprise House Ocean
Village, Southampton, England SO14 3XB U4Global Solutions operates
several e-commerce and internet based products and services.
The
client:
The person or company wishing to subscribe to the service or
services described and agreeing to be bound by these terms. Note the
client is classed, as the person who pays for the service, in the case
of a company registration the company must pay for the service with a
company cheque or wire transfer. In such cases you should make clear who
has the right to request the return of the registered information.
Should a personal cheque be made payable but the registration made on
behalf of a company or another person this should be clearly stated and
will appear on the registration certificate.
Registration:
All
items received must be accompanied by our registration form, which gives
a description of the media and format. A copy of this form is available
from our website.
Registration
Date:
The
date and time the information is encrypted and copied to our servers and
backup copies are made. Note: Date of receipt at our offices is not
necessarily the date of registration as the information needs to be
logged, the format has to be checked, and the backup made.
We cannot be held responsible for items that do not arrive into
our possession for whatever reason. The registration date and time will
appear clearly on the certificate. The only valid date and time will be
the one on the certificate
Unreadable
media or information:
Prior to backup and encryption we need to be able to read the data
and ensure it is readable format. If there is a problem, you will be
notified immediately via e-mail and you can then resubmit the work
without errors. In these cases, there may be an administration charge to
cover time and bank charges should the payment need to be returned.
Privacy:
The company operates a strict privacy policy and any information
submitted, as will personal details will be treated as confidential. We
operate a strict anti-spam policy and will not send you unsolicited
mails, however we may from time to time inform you of new services and
upgrades available from or range of services.
Security, Liability,
Originality:
The company will take all reasonable steps to ensure your information is
kept private, however no guarantee can be made that the information
stored does not appear in the public domain for whatever reason or from
what ever source, or indeed is not already available in the public
domain. You should ensure the information stored is original and you
have the right to store the information and provide any relevant
paperwork or supporting documentation alongside the information. The
company cannot accept any liability for your information appearing in
the public domain, especially as we will be holding copies of the
information which are in encrypted from. We cannot be held responsible
or liable for any loss of revenue, profits or any other charge
in regard to our services. Where 3rd party services
are required we will ensure the 3rd party meets similar
service standards to our own.
The company cannot guarantee the work you store is original and free
from copyright infringements. We can only provide verification the
information stored was registered at a certain date and time and has not
been modified since registration.
Authority
Co-operation
You data will remain private, should however we receive a formal
request to make information available to respected authorities such as
the police or government then we will co-operate fully with the
authorities.
Our
Services
The
extent of the service is storage of information and date time
verification by means of certification or receipt. We cannot advise on
legal matters and cannot enter into any legal discussions regarding
copyright or proof of copyright.
Information
Retrieval & Dispatch
In the event you need us to send you the verification copy as proof
either to yourself or to another party under yours or a designated
persons instruction we will co-operate fully. There will be a small
administration charge and all cost associated (media, media transfer, courier charges etc) be
a charged and payment in advance must be received before the goods are dispatched.
